BAA have applied for permission to build a third runway to the north of the A4 - this will pass through the villages of Sipson and Harmodsworth etc. meaning their complete demolition.
The rumour is that this request will be granted and the runway will be built. if your house is in that general area then it's price will go down not up because no one wants to live in a house that is about to be demolished - or have a runway at the end of it's garden.
I strongly suggest you start reading local papers, listening to local radio stations, and join organisations like HACAN so that you are a bit better informed about major activities around your house.
