Its a way of marketing, so they can reach different segments of people. Such as much poorer people, but dont care too much about the technological side of the console, e.g. 40GB. Then theres the 80GB which is targeted at Parents coming up to christmas. Just marketing my friend, and a very good way of doing it...
Yeah, I fell victim to that. I thought to myself, I only want it for games cos I have an ipod to store music on so whats the point. But i wasnt told beforehand that it didnt play PS2 games which was severely wrong. I hope soon they can release an update patch in which it can then play PS2 games.
it pisses me off when they keep releasing new versions of the same console, because then you feel like your console is crap and you need to buy the new one. Im sure SONY are aware of this, and it is again a good way to make even more MONEY!!!!!!!!
