Alright well I know that during pregnancy your not supposed to use sharpies so in my art class I am taking I have to use an overhead pen instead. When I was outlining my picture I noticed I got some of the ink on my hands. I'm worried that it could have been bad for the baby.

You can use Sharpies, just don't go huffing the scent! LOL And ink on your hands isn't going to do anything to you. If substances in ink pens and markers were so toxic that they would seep through your skin and cause issues with pregnancy, they would be taken off the market.

Sharpies should not be inhaled for long periods of time. Using a Sharpie and even getting it on your skin poses no problems to you or your child.
You can use sharpies, and dry erase markers, and other stuff like that. Just don't go sniffing them! If using them and getting ink on your hands did something horrible to a fetus, then mine would be in huge trouble, because I've used them all throughout my pregnancy.
Who on earth told you the line of bull about sharpies?? They are perfectly fine as long as you aren't huffing on them all day everyday. The ink getting on your hands is just fine too. If it wasn't they'd have them off the market. Kids use them all the time, so I'm sure that they wouldn't let a child use something that is going to be toxic.
