I need -.75 for both my right and left eye. Contacts are expensive. So can I just buy a box of left since my right is the same prescription or do I need both?
In almost all cases, the answer will be "yes", however there are very rare occasions when a doctor will prescribe different base curves for each eye. Before you buy 1 box, make sure that your Rx, base curve, and diameter of the lens are all exactly the same for both eyes. Your doctor or optician can answer this for you.
I have -1.00 on one eye and -1.25 on the other.
I don''t use contact often but I use daily contacts at -1.00, I buy just one box for both of them, there is no left or right.
If your prescription is exactly the same for both eyes then you can just buy one box. The contacts are the same the only difference is the prescription. They just right left or right on the boxes for people who have a different prescription strength for each eye so that they don't get mixed up. hope this helps.
