im guessing you have dsl and a router with an ethernet cable to your ps3 and to your computer.
Its like anything that uses bandwidth, you can only use as much as you have. So your ps3 will use some and the computer will use some. the only problem you will have is speed of your internet pages loading, if your ps3 is downloading somthing from the psn. it will still work but slower. hope this helps
