My 5 year old gets severe backache and usually vomiting after she had some sugary sweets or chocolate. She says her tummy is not hurting. Its her back around her kidney area. Last time it happened she had half a chocolate cupcake and 2 small boxed juices at a party. Around midnight she was in severe pain for about an hour.
I am not sure if its chocolate or just sugar. She can eat half a bar of kitkat without any problems. We are totally perplexed, and pediatrician has no idea what to look for or how to proceed. Please any ideas or advice will be helpful. I do try to limit her sugar intake, but would like to find out what is the underlying cause for this. Thanks !!!
diabetes...
allergic reaction...
could be anything really....maybe even tottally unrelated
Continue to see different doctors so you can try to find out what is causing this. Maybe for now on anytime your daughter has any sweets, dont let her have any that contain chocolate..maybe the problems will stop, it could be because of the chocolate.
It sounds similar to what happeneds to my cousin, if he eats anything containing chocolate he gets severe backpain and migrains.
good luck xo
